A narrative on the VIA Pro Team Report:

Working with other people can be exciting and rewarding or frustrating and unproductive depending on how well the group is aligned along various dimensions.  Inevitably, when people come together in a group there is a variety of personalities, beliefs, and attitudes. However, if individual strengths are recognized, valued and respected the team has a chance to coalesce and ripen even in the face of other differences.

Team leaders can learn a great deal by looking at their individual team members’ character strengths. However, they can find their team’s “sweet spot” by viewing the group as a dynamic unit, understanding that it’s the interplay of those character strengths that ultimately affects the team’s successes and missteps.

When a group of people work together their unique character strengths are constantly being disclosed, regardless if the other team members recognize and appreciate those strengths. It is the responsibility of the team leader to view strengths from a wide angle and determine the best deployment for each team member’s strengths. The VIA Pro Team Report can act as a road map to help leaders navigate their team’s character strengths and then zero in on the endless possibilities for growth and improvement.

The section, Character Strengths Culture, dives into the unique tone and demeanor of the group. For instance, a group that strongly possesses the strength of creativity will function very different from a group low in creativity but high in prudence. However, the culture of the group is not only affected by the strengths present, but also the strengths that are not represented strongly by the team. Knowing the character strengths culture of your team can help you plan tasks, give feedback, and explore new ways to reach goals.

Since every individual brings a different toolbox of strengths to their team, it is important to explore instances in which individuals can express their unique strengths. The Strengths of Leadership section of the report provides an overview of the individuals in your group with the distinct strengths that can be utilized to guide the team to more effective performance.

The interaction of character strengths plays a crucial role in managing the behavior of the team and the relationships of the team members. The section, Strengths Dynamics explains key areas to examine in order to promote connectivity, avoid and resolve conflicts, and improve engagement.

Finally, the VIA Pro Team Report discuss the 7 main functions of a work team, from idea creation to implementation , and reveals which character strengths most effectively align with each function. This allows you to look at each team member’s strengths and determine which tasks they should perform in order to obtain optimal efficiency and employee satisfaction.

The VIA Pro Team Report is designed to boost team morale, improve productivity, and increase team connectivity. This report will help weak teams grow and strong teams flourish. The price is $15 USD per team member.
